Hey everyone, I went to see a diabetic specialist today as I had the Libre for 2 weeks and this was a review appointment. While I was there, the lady I saw said something about being able to send the testing strips or part of them to somewhere and you get rewards for sending them. Is this true? I know with another testing strip make I had, you could send the box they came in and they reward you with an item of your choosing (like a different coloured glucose meter case). Has anyone else heard of this?20180905_231946.jpg20180905_231927.jpg

You should of asked her for the address.

I have heard of saving bottle tops / ring pulls of tins for some kid with a terminal illness, which turned out to be a scam

I know i shoupd have, she said it then the subject went back to the Libre meter. I will hopefully be seeing her again, I'll ask her then, if I remember :) Thank you for your reply :)

Bayer used to have a reward scheme where you could send them the test strip boxes, but I can't imagine anyone accepting the used strips themselves, which IMO would be very unhygenic. :yuck: Bayer diabetic stuff has now been transferred to Ascensia and AFAIK they haven't continued with the scheme.

Hi,

Why not question this with Roche, the comany that makes the strips & meter.? They would either know of this initiative or not..?
