Testing Strips

Hey everyone, I went to see a diabetic specialist today as I had the Libre for 2 weeks and this was a review appointment. While I was there, the lady I saw said something about being able to send the testing strips or part of them to somewhere and you get rewards for sending them. Is this true? I know with another testing strip make I had, you could send the box they came in and they reward you with an item of your choosing (like a different coloured glucose meter case). Has anyone else heard of this?

I have heard of saving bottle tops / ring pulls of tins for some kid with a terminal illness, which turned out to be a scam

I know i shoupd have, she said it then the subject went back to the Libre meter. I will hopefully be seeing her again, I'll ask her then, if I remember Thank you for your reply

Bayer used to have a reward scheme where you could send them the test strip boxes, but I can't imagine anyone accepting the used strips themselves, which IMO would be very unhygenic. Bayer diabetic stuff has now been transferred to Ascensia and AFAIK they haven't continued with the scheme.

Why not question this with Roche, the comany that makes the strips & meter.? They would either know of this initiative or not..?
