I've always suffered from sensitivity to hair dye, but usually got away with how the hairdresser managed to colour my hair without it touching my scalp. Last Friday I had my hair coloured and I had a huge reaction, my scalp was bright red with blisters that burst during the night resulting in my hair being 'sticky' .
I went to the Drs and was given antibiotic cream to apply, which I did, but after 4days it became apparent that this wasn't clearing it up. I went back yesterday and they gave me antibiotics (so I've had 3so far.). While I was there, the tested my blood - it was 16.4 omg!!! (I'm normally 8 or 9)
I've hardly eaten anything for the past couple of days, although have eaten today. Yesterday and day before felt sick just thinking about food. I was advised that I must eat something and that I need to test my blood at least 4 times a day and if it went above 20 to ring the emergency drs and ask for advice (thank goodness they had given me a meter and have never refused me test strips.)
Surely another reason for t2's to be given meters and access to test strips.
