This is a 'thank you' to everyone who has offered their advice, opinions, encouragement and experiences during my time as a member of this site.
Hopefully it might also give a little hope to anyone else who is newly diagnosed or who is struggling with their levels as I have done.

I was diagnosed as T2 eight years ago and my blood glucose was over 30. I was put on Metformin from day 1.
For the last three years Gliclazide and Invokana were added, as my levels remained between 12 and 14.

After making some consistent changes over the last month, my bg over the last 7 days has been:
8.0 - 6.8 - 7.8 - 7.9 - 8.0 - 7.6 - 7.4
It's still early days, still up and down a bit, and at the moment a bit scary when I go to bed or wake up with such low numbers (ok, they're not really low!) but so much better.

Suppose I just wanted to say that, as many others have said, 'if I can do it, anyone can'.
It isn't easy for anyone and for some it can be so much harder for a myriad reasons, but primarily I just want to thank the admins, past and present, members such as Bruneria, Bluetit1802 and Daisy1 who (although they probably won't remember) were among those who answered patiently so many of my questions in the early days and also the many people I heard from just once or twice, who just offered their support.

I still have a long way to go and am sure that I will still find many things a challenge, but please keep going and know that you are worth every bit of effort you can manage to make.

Travel well.

Thank you, everyone.

How wonderful to hear such a positive update, no matter the advice and support you've been given, it was you who did the work!

(And if you'd like to have those members you mentioned get an alert on your thanks, just type an @ before their names like this, @Cloudlesssky ;))
