Good morning, Carole,Hi everyone, My name is Carole and I have just received a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes so at this stage I have no idea what I should or what to expect so I'm looking to make some new friends here where I can ask questions and share what I'm thinking and what I'm going through, I will probably ask some stupid questions but that's me all over.
I haven't been given any numbers just yet as I only had a phone consultation, I was told that I had type 2 and that I had been borderline for some time and that my last bloods showed that I was over? He also said that my potassium levels were high (I don't know if that has any relevance here?)Hi and welcome to the forum @caroleuk. You have made a great first step by joining this forum. Lots of members have been where you are now. Please feel free to browse through the forums. Ask as many questions as you like.
If you feel like sharing may I ask what your HbA1c numbers were like at diagnosis.
Thank you Jo I have loads to ask at the moment but I will get my appointment with the practice nurse over with first. I'm only type 2 at the moment so I know that it's not that bad but My biggest worry is that sister had type 1 and she didn't do too well, she later passed away with dementia.Good morning, Carole,
Sorry about the diagnosis, but you're in a good spot to learn how to deal with it all... The only stupid question is the one not asked, so knock yourself out. Hopefully we can help!
Jo
