4 months ago today since I beat the ketoacidosis. In the high dependency unit almost 17 weeks ago, I honestly never believed I'd last this long. Thank you to everyone who helped me through it, and to all of the new friends I've met since then!

How long have all of you been diagnosed?

hi there @NicoleLouise41

big hugs and well done !!
glad to have you with us ( for a very long time )

edited to add -- 43 years and counting

Hi @NicoleLouise41 - glad you got through your DKA. I've only had it once on diagnosis and wouldn't want to go through that again Just clocked up 44 years as a T1

Hiya glad to hear you are well, it's good to be feeling better. I became very ill during a weeks ski holiday, couldn't stop drinking and peeing, as well as losing weight and not being able to talk properly as my mouth was so dry all the time, got back home and went straight to the docs and was diagnosed type 1 straight away and hospital same day, that was 4 years ago

It's good to know you have recovered well, so pleased for you This is my 27th year.

Good luck and all the very best RRB

Hi, glad you're okay and got thru Dka, I've had diabetes since I was 11, so that's 18 years, luckily enough, (thou I've no idea how) never experienced DKA thou.
