Visited doctor today for diabetes check-up and he sais that i could have lancets and test strips on prescription as he is happy for me to test and see how different foods affect my bg.

Feel sorry for the people that i have seen post on here with the opposite news, who have to buy all the bits they need themselves! :( :(

Think i would have to look for a new surgery if i couldnt get them on script cos couldnt afford them otherwise!!

Thats really good news, sounds like you have a good and sensible doc there. I'm pleased for you. Best wishes RRB

That's great news and will give you the opportunity to test

Great news.

Word of warning - my doc agreed initially and refused after just one repeat.

think they were over-ruled.

I had unlimited strips until my last HbA1c [4.9]. My GP was going to stop them all together, but I said I had cut down but still needed to test new foods etc, he prescribes me 50 a month now.
