I'm Type 2 and tried it - it raised my BG by exactly the amount I would have expected the same amount in grams of any other carb to do - so no, not a success in my eyes.
This happened with both types I tested - the Abbott Glucerna supposed slow release carbs shake and the Generation UCan Super Starch shake. I think this stuff may be better suited to people with glycogen storage disorders and high performance athletes. Definitely not for this bog standard Type 2.
