THE ANSWER IS GOLF, WHAT IS THE QUESTION?

The question is, "how do I get away with eating serious bacon butties?"
Often at lunch, I have 2 slices of burgen soya and linseed bread with a filling. 2 hours later, BG will be about 6.
If I do the same with nice big wholemeal slices, it will be about 7.
Yesterday, I had a fat bacon buttie in thick fresh brown bread at a golf club, then went out to play golf. My two hours was up by the time I got to the ninth tee. I surreptitiously washed my hands in water from my drinking bottle, and did a discreet blood test.Bearing in mind I'm not on any meds
3.8!
What better reason to play golf more often.
I guess it's because it's a long steady exercise. In 18 holes, I'll walk about 5 miles dragging a trolley full of heavy irons, and swinging a club about 100+ times (I'm not very good!), so feel pleasantly worn out by the end. Perhaps I should have tested again after the 18! Might have frightened me! Or might have gone up with a liver dump.
Anyone else got a favourite pastime that is also good for their Diabetes?

Hi Grazer, I know this is an ancient post but it popped up in 'similar topics' at the bottom of the page and proper made me laugh. Are you still playing? Have you got any better? Cheers Jane
