I made myself a carb modified satay chicken and it was delicious, but how I missed the rice! So tonight I tried zoodles for the very first time! Zoodles are spiralised zucchinis. 2 minutes in the microwave and I nearly can't believe it's not PASTA! ZOMG... exciting times ahead! (2.1 g net carbs per 100g). I bought the zoodles pre-packaged in the veg section of the supermarket, but now I'm in the market for a spiraliser so I can have all the spirally, low-carb goodness to go with some delicious low carb thai style stir fries my mind is creating. Super spicy coconutty goodness.. get in mah belly!

I tried frying in coconut oil and the smell of it heating was ghastly, and I thought I'd probably wrecked my satay, but it did not taste the way it smelled.. or perhaps it was just that the chilli totally overwhelmed it?

Hi @MrsGruffy i even use coconut oil for bacon and eggs, mushrooms and omelettes etc now it does smell on frying but I find it dosent affect the taste in my opinion.

Spiralised veg can be great.

All I will say is be very careful if you decide to buy a small, hand-held spiraliser. The blades are sharper than you could ever imagine, and you need to clean them with a small brush or something meaning your fingers stay away from the sharp pieces.

Don't ask me how I know this..................

Go on Amazon and read the reviews on spiralizers before making a purchase there or in the shops. There are a lot of duff ones out there.
