Have been watching this video about the Global Epidemic of Diabetes. It is about cultural, economical and genetics affecting diabetes.
When we complain that Type2's cannot get test strips here it is a genuine concern that we have. Then I watched Part I about the children in the Third World who have Type1 diabetes. Their parents cannot afford the supplies, have no fridge to keep insulin in even if they could afford it. The only hope for their children is to be taken into a centre where they will be cared for.
The video is divided into four parts so it does not have to be watched in one go.
