I am so dispirited with the government. I have 2 sons both awaiting tribunals. First son has schizophrenia and managed to get no points from his PIP assessment, despite receiving DLA for several years. He was even asked “have you still got schizophrenia “ like it was measles. Psychiatrist wrote a strongly worded letter for his Appeal, the Dr assessing recommended overturning the stop on payment, but DWP in their wisdom chose to ignore. So living on very little money for nearly a year now, awaiting tribunal date, and the anxiety levels are high. Second son has fallen foul of the non EEU immigration regs for his wife. He has 2 children, but under the financial limit for a spouse visa, even though the Supreme Court has ruled strong consideration should be given where children are involved. Both children are dual nationality so can live in UK. My son is British so can stay, only Mum is excluded. The reality is that neither parent can work full time and look after both children, so one is in UK, one overseas, speaking daily by Skype, and both children speaking a different language, but spouses and children have not seen each other for 2 years, pending test case at a tribunal. What a sad sad state of affairs. I wouldn’t know where to start writing to Theresa May!! Thanks for allowing the rant. Don’t expect stress/cortisol levels are helping my diabetes either!
