The new Type 1 Comic Book - for the younger newly diagnosed

It's a wonderful idea, but looks more masculine and aimed more at young males, some scary images in there too :nailbiting:

A lot different to the rather twee "Janet & John" style book I was given as a kid..
Young John got into all sorts of scrapes just running out to play with his ball without eating.. There were no lads tempting him with contraband.. Lol

The comic in the link was a bit Grange Hill with the protagonist going all "Walter Mitty" in the super hero reference "cut scenes"..

In future instalments I can see the female character introduced near the end having her own issues.. Just like the old Janet & John...?!

Cool..

I think it's lovely, and I hope it is just the start. I think it's well thought through, caught unawares by Mr Stern having T1! It's a most useful resource.
I too, think their will be a future storyline with a female lead.
Would I encourage my children to read it? Unreservedly yes, boys and girls, T1 or non-diabetic alike.
Thanks @tim2000s for posting it, because I don't think I would have found it otherwise
