Rons hospital appointment last Thursday, apparently they have to do bp and weight before you can see the dr, Ron didn’t want it done . Told the nurse 3 times but she just kept on . Ron asked for lights to be switched off as they hurt his eyes . We were in a room just a bit bigger than a broom cupboard yet there were 2 strip lights on . She then asked him a load of questions all of which he’d answered on previous visits . Yet when I tried to intervene she said that she could only write down what Ron answered and told me to shut up. I could see all this was confusing Ron which intensifies pain. Then had to sit outside drs room as he hadn’t turned up . Asked again for lights off to which got told no for safety reason yet we were at the end of a corridor . So when nurse left us I turned them off . Ten minutes later dr turned up , so in the room he pulled curtains across and only had background lights on . Ron was so tired by this time it was decided by dr to put him back on pregabalin which our gp has only just stopped and to discharge him to our local community hospital for pain management. Another med he has also suggested is duloxetine.we are now waiting for letter from hospital to go see our gp for prescription I will also be asking him if he can help with all this messing about with bp stuff so Ron doesn’t have to go through this again. He was told he has to have this done every visit .
