Never too late honey, never too late for anything. I was in denial for years, ate healthy - so I thought. I am now in a different place and my husband has now followed my example and can now see his toes! Most of our friends gained weight through lockdown me and hubby lost it. Its so nice to see our toes nowWhen will we as a society
Exit the weight loss trap?
Its sad to see my family
Caught in this trap.
Over and over again.
I've been through it many times. My goal now is
Try to improve health
Conditions and follow
An old dietician I had
Many years ago.
Eat healthy eat a healthy
Amount of food.
And let your body go
Where it goes.
My personal conclusion
As to an answer for the
Weight loss trap is
Never ever get overweight.
Too late for me though.
I never knew that.
I'm in hospital at the moment and I'm on the "diabetic diet". It says it on my meal slips. I'm not joking, it's about 95% carbs. Lunch was bread, bread roll (no margarine or butter!), pasta. I'm not allowed to have a tiny piece of chocolate cake though. Edit: I'm going to sneak to the cafe after they do my next finger jab and order a ham and avocado sandwich if they have them. If not I'll order a whole chocolate cakeI believe that "healthy eating" advice is not always so, and we are currently often badly advised as to what food is actually for us.
Hi,I sneaked out and got a ham and cheese croissant
Since I'm on a drip with pain medication I don't think I fooled anyone at the cafe but they served me anyway lol
I think I would refuse the food offered and get the right food smuggled in!I'm in hospital at the moment and I'm on the "diabetic diet". It says it on my meal slips. I am sure that's why I ended up overweight to begin with plus in my family we have the tendency to be type 2 so that was also a contributing factor. Had I known that after the birth of my daughter eating low fat this and low fat that I would end up the way I did I would have eaten as we did as kids full fat, full fat on meat etc. We were like bean poles! We were always outside running around, climbing trees etc guess the tom boy in my kept me slim back then!I believe that "healthy eating" advice is not always so, and we are currently often badly advised as to what food is actually for us.
Some essential fats/lipids cannot be produced by your body. You have to eat themI am sure that's why I ended up overweight to begin with plus in my family we have the tendency to be type 2 so that was also a contributing factor. And your point is??? I don't find that relevantSome essential fats/lipids cannot be produced by your body. You have to eat them
Didn't you just say that you avoided eating fats? What I am saying is that there are essential (as in your body needs them) that you can only get get from dietAnd your point is??? I don't find that relevant
It's relevant because if you don't eat them you'll dieAnd your point is??? I don't find that relevant
Emm no you won't! My mum didn't eat any fat for years, with no problems. It's relevant because if you don't eat them you'll die
No you don't - how do vegetarians cope then? Do they die abruptly due to not eating fats. Also I didn't avoid fats, I ate low fat after the birth of my daughter as at the time I was under the guidance of the usual patter "low fat is better". So in answer to your question - no I did not avoid them as such. It's relevant because if you don't eat them you'll die
