the waiting game for test results

I'm not amused at the moment because I finished a course of antibiotics on Monday and I've progressively got worse since. My doc says I have to wait 72 hours after finishing the antibiotics to get another test done which I did. Meanwhile they tell me it takes 72 hours for the test results to come back. So basically that is like 6 days of this **** thing brewing again. I don't want to go to ER. I know something is wrong as my sugar levels are going nuts and I haven't got it under 8 at all today. My BP is high and so is my heart rate. Also going to ER achieves not much as last time I went they too have to wait 72 hours for test results so they don't know whether I have an infection or not. Sorry I'm probably just grumpy and in too much pain here. I have to say I've never been more keen to know what a test result is right now. Once I know what the result is then at least I know what I'm dealing with.

Well after a good hellish 4 days and a couple of real iffy days I found out today I don't have an infection. That's good, but then that ticked me right off as it means I'm having a flare which is wreaking havoc with my sugar levels. On the bright side (being sarcastic) the specialists here aren't to clued up on how to treat the condition... I'm only on one drug for it which does nothing during a flare up. Normal painkillers don't seem to do the job either. So I take it my sugar, blood pressure, and heart rate all go too high because the pain is out of control. Sucks. After all that today is the first day in a while I've had levels between 5-7 for most of the day... hallelujah.... finally a light helping my sanity. lol. Although that would probably be because my pain level wasn't as bad.
