- soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
I first read about this medicine on David Mendosa's website a couple of years ago. It was being advertised as a "Smart" drug, which works only as long as you need it to.
I got my GP to prescribe it for me and it worked brilliantly. I now low carb most of the time, so don't need it
Anyway, yesterday was my niece's wedding and I wanted to join in, so I took a Starlix along with me, so I could eat the lunch, which included a Pavlova for dessert.
I was very cold all day and after shivering for at least 3 hours, felt extremely ill. I went and sat in the car with the engine and heater running and eventually improved. One of my cousins is a real "Bossy Boots" and ordered another of my nieces, a sister at Basingstoke Hospital to check up on me. So my BG was measured and found to be 4.3, It had obviously benefitted from the Starlix. 8)
I went to bed quite early after we got home and woke up fine this morning. It obviously was just that I was too cold. I cannot keep myself warm
. I think that's one reason why I have weight problems.
I wouldn't have risked eating the reception meal without the Starlix. I still avoided cous cous and pasta salads.
Another of my cousins, who lives in Germany and is a T1, asked about my HbA1c and was duly impressed by my 5.4%. She's a carb counter and was 7.5% last time . Her doctors have forbidden her from using her contact lenses until she gets down to 7%. So of cours I've given her this web address
