That has now been just over 3 weeks since I was given my second BG result from the Doctors surgery and just under 2 weeks since my official diagnosis.
On the 14th of May I have my first appointment with the diabetic nurse. I was 12 stone 12 pounds with a fasting reading of 8.7 on diagnosis and am now coming in at 11 stone 10 pounds with postprandial readings averaging 6.2mm/ol and fasting an average of 5.2mm/ol.
I have actually felt okay over the last few weeks but have noticed my mood has changed somewhat. I am a very laid back person and allow most things to wash over me but recently things have bothered me that never bothered me before. I am now aware of this and try desperately to take a couple of steps back and think about my response.
I have given myself a target of 11 stone and once there will need to research stabilising my weight yet keeping my BG at the level it is at the moment.
