Since undertaking this LCHF Diet I’m finding myself less & less thirsty?!

May sound odd I know but at one time I was craving a fizzy drink (coke zero sugar) or orange juice but now I’ve switched to black coffee & water my intake of fluids has dropped significantly. Almost to the point where I’m having to remember to have a drink?! I’m just not feeling the need to drink.

Is this kind of thing normal when a major dietary overhaul takes place? Does a Low Carb diet change certain habits or “traits” so to speak?

I do smoke an e-cigarette which would make me incredibly thirsty but since I’ve changed things that isn’t the case either.

I’ve not touched tea with milk or fizzy drinks/fruit juices for around a week to 10 days now. I’m not overly concerned about it just curious.

You may not feel as thirsty, because as your blood sugar levels go down that constant thirst goes away. But remember to keep you liquid levels up anyway.

It's because your body is no longer requiring you to pee out the extra sugar that you had in you so you'll be needing less. Also getting up in the night should become a thing of the past (well t has for me anyway). Now I just drink when thirsty.
You might want to add a pinch of salt to your coffee just to make sure you're getting enough as the lack o processed food in Low Carb can sometimes lead to less that ideal salt consumption but apart from that sounds like you're doing great.

Less whizzing to the bathroom at night. Less fuzzy distance vision. Generally feeing better overall. Ring slipping off the finger.

I have found I need more liquid and salt as a result.

Takes me back to when I first suspected I had diabetes. I was in a job interview and I couldn’t talk properly for the Sahara thirst effect. My mouth was a complete concoction of cement and stickiness.

Remember when you feel thirsty you're already dehydrated- you don't have to have big massive drinks - I have a water bottle that I fill 3 times a day (1.5ltr all together) - I just take little sips throughput the day along with my usual black coffee and teas.

Also feeling hungry can be a sign you are dehydrating- I always have a drink if I get hunger pangs and wait 15 minutes- if I'm still hungry then I'll eat a low carb snack - 9 times out of 10 the hunger goes away with the water
