I have been back to the UK and had my test done:

my fasting results was 6.5
my glucose results was 5.6
(yes I have them the right way round)

I have lost nearly a stone in weight.

But my HbA1c is 10% Now I believe that is high...I have been diagnosed 3 weeks nearly 4 what else do I have to do to bring this HbA1c DOWN... I am SO peed off worked so so hard!!!

Thanks

David

Your HbA1c is a measure of your levels over the last 3 months, so when you have your next one, with all your hard work, it will have come down.

You're doing really well

Hi David,

Don't be put off by the results. They are very good! I am not an expert and would not pretend to be but I think that the the HbA1C is a culmination of your bloods from the previous 10ish weeks so if that is correct it might not reflect all the hard work you have been doing. I am sure someone will come along and put me right if I am wrong!

Well done. :)

Sorry didie - didn't see your post - didn't mean to repeat you! :)

totally agree,

keep doing what you are doing and look forward to your next one.

Imagine what it would have been without your intervention over the last few weeks
