Think I may have diabetes

Hello all

Over the last month I have had diarrhoea issues once or twice a week, which do not seem to be resolved as yet - on Wednesday I am going to have some bloods taken

Over the last week or so my weight seemed to have dropped - no explanation as to why yet - I had thought perhaps it's the diarrhoea issue but then I've been also considering that I may possibly have diabetes - as unexplained weight loss being one of the symptoms.

My question being when I go for my blood test should I mention my concerns to the nurse? Should i ask her to use some of that blood to test for diabetes? Or do I need to see the doc again first?
 
Well of course I can't diagnose you, but I would have thought that your weight loss can be explained by the diarrhoea alone. Get to the root cause of that first before worrying about diabetes, especially if there are no other symptoms.

Whatever comes first, but yes, insist on it. You need a HbA1c to make sure. That said, @urbanracer got this in one. Could be anything. I wish you well regardless :)
