I was diagnosed seven months ago and am taking meds as prescribed for the last two months I have an insatiable thirst I don't know if this is related to diabetes or something else entirely by the way I am type 2
 
Excessive thirst (and frequent urination) is a symptom of high blood sugars. What sort of levels do you see after eating? (if you are self testing, which I think is essential)
 
When my levels are higher, even when around 11, I am very thirsty. Thankfully this is very rare now
I would assume yes
