Thirsty and sensation to urinate.

I am 64, type 2 for 18 months and BG well under control and on no meds. I have lost over a stone in weight since modifying my diet but I have never been over weight. Now I am thirsty but always feel like I need the loo, cystitis like sensation. Is this the diabetes do you think?
 
Hi Lynnew,
When you say well under control .. What are your reading for your blood sugars ? It sounds like they are higher than they should be. I try not to eat anything that rises my sugar over 7.0 or 2. Over my before eating reading ...
Think you would be wise to see your Dr about this
 
5 before dinner tonight. I don't take it that often because I haven't needed to but I will do my BG this week before eating and two hours after and see where I am. HB1ac of 6.4 in December.
