Hi all

Sugar down to 7.1 today, not brilliant but considering it was starting at 11+ a few days ago and was hitting some scary numbers is a major step forward for me in the space of four days.

To those who lead me to low carbing a big thank you, I aim to keep working at this and want my sugar down even more.

This forum is brilliant as the advice comes from people who know and not from doctors who seem only to want to dole out pills.

So to all of you thamk you, thank you, thank you

Cheers

Tony

Glad to be of use

Getting your diet right is crucial to controlling your diabetes! Complex carbs and lean proteins are the way forward. It may be difficult at forst to weed out the simple and refined sugars, but over time it becomes second nature. I no longer have any need to add sugar to my tea, indulge in chocolate, to have buscuits with my tea ... the list goes on - all the things that I used to eat all the time... I just don't need or want them anymore :p

Good work, mate. (Is it just me - or do the words "Complex Carbs" send a shiver down everyones spine?)
