A first for me used my thumb to do a test and I think it actually felt better than using my fingers.
Anyone else ok with doing there thumbs?

No. You should not use your thumb or forefinger. You should have been told this by you H.C.P. the reason is that you use these fingers for most things and you could damage the nerves and loose feeling in them. This could cause you problems with dexterity. And of course, feeling things.

I use each finger & thumb in turn so they don't get sore with repeated testing.

I have had to use the thumb and forefinger recently, because of having to use the same hand constantly, and will still do for the time being.

Only use the sides of your fingers, not the pads. Never thumb or forefinger.
Not worth the risk.View attachment 9119

Have to Nuthead, broken smashed up wrist and complications set in, on going treatment, so have to make the best of what I've got and can use.

I feel for you. I currently have nerve damage in my right hand caused by a tumour(now gone) pressing on nerves in my neck.

"NOT TO" there, said it, ............................and as Nuthead rightly said " You should not use your thumb or forefinger. Some of my fingers are turning blue where I've pricked them, so starting to use the other hand now.

Never use thumbs and choose a different finger each time and as Nuthead said always the sides and not the pads as long term this might cause nerve damage. I have to test 4 times daily with multiple injections.
