If I end up with an unexplained high blood sugar, say 17 mmol/.l on waking plus I feel ghastly and I have ketones ++.
The reason is usually that an indwelling needle site has leaked, or the needle has bent and the obstruction alarm does not activate.
I cannot afford CGM regularly and Freestyle Libre app is yet to appear in Oz (launch due 5th June, nearly there) !!
My question is: am I likely to be more ketotic and thus more unwell on a low carb diet ?
51 years on insulin. Insulin pump since 2012, novorapid.
