Type 2
Recently diagnosed in March. My feet were not bothering Me then but now my diabetic reading has reduced from 87 to 40 my feet keep me awake at night with tingling sensations and sometimes pain. Sometimes one or two toes are numb. Is this part of my recovery or should I be concerned? Doc doesn't seem to be concerned.

My HbA1C was 99 at diagnosis. Three months later it was 59, but I was getting pins and needle sensations in my hand. I reduced the Metformin I was taking from 2x500 to 1x500 per day. In May I stopped taking Metformin when my HbA1C dropped to 44.

Since then my pins and needles sensations have stopped, so it may have been due to vitamin B12 deficiency caused by Metformin. I have been taking B12 and Alpha Lipoic Acid to reduce the symptoms of neuropathy. I am having a B12 test as part of my next blood test.

I was taking 4x metformin but recently reduced to 2 per day. Maybe I could stop them temporarily to see if that makes a difference as I am down to 40.
