Getting occasional tingling only in left foot and only in 2 fingers, doctors says I have good pulse etc , I have started taking lipoic acid also on lchf diet readings are usually no higher than 8 after meals any ideas

I was getting pins and needle sensations on my hands, so I started taking vitamin B12 and Alpha Lipoic Acid. I was surprised as this happened after I started getting my blood sugar under control through a LCHF diet. However, Metformin can cause a vitamin B12 deficiency which can result in symptoms of neuropathy.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is also good for clearing "brain fog" and improving cognitive function of the brain. I found that ALA helped. It also reduces blood sugar levels, maybe by around 0.5 mmol/l.
