Hi all I am a type two diabetic and I know I need to lose weight I am on the medication but I know my sugars are all over but diabetic nurse is useless does anyone take tirzepatide nurse said I am ok for it but can't get it can I get it private and pay?

My (very limited) understanding is that there is now a decent supply of mounjaro/tirzepatide in the UK

Our response to serious supply issues of drugs for people with type 2 diabetes

The global shortage in supply was partly due to a surge in off-label prescriptions of the drug semaglutide being issued for weight loss, which was exceeding supply. Previously (since the summer of 2023) all stocks of GLP-1 RAs had to be reserved for those already using these medications...

Hey Stacey, glad you are on Tirzepatide, it's been wonderful for me, I started Jan. 2, 2025 @ 392 lbs. As of today Feb. 3, 2025 I am down to 358 lbs. I've changed my diet to eat more healthy and try to be more active. Hope you enjoy your journey as well.
