titration percentage

How do I find the percentage of my bg's. From what I can remember from school its divide the highest number by 100 then times the answer by the percentage you require. For instance. My three day fastings bloods averages at 3.2. The titration leaflet states 3.1 - 4.o mmol/l -2 adjustment, but >40u decrease by 5%. my total units are 78. So do I, 78 divided by 100 = 0.78 times by 5 = 3.9

Is this correct.
