Hi everyone, I'm new to this so bare with me :)
I've been offered a pump on and off for a few years and quite honestly I'm scared of the commitment. I was wondering how long it took you to decide and if it was an easy choice. Does it really help you to live a 'normal' life?
I'd really appreciate any advice anyone could give me. Thanks in advance x

Helped me simply because no matter what i done could not get my basal correct on mdi, tried everything, splitting, timing, different ones. It is a big commitment but for me 100% worth it. Alot of hard work and testing first off, to get settings correct, then learning different temp basals for different activities and then knowing when to basal test and adjust, which, for me seems to be seasonal. Don't miss the 4~6 daily injections, but the trade off is carrying the pump with you 24\7. A while ago got fed up of that, but soon went back to get better control and have no daily injections.

Thanks for the advice. I just kind of feel that if I can't get my level ok with injections, how am I going to cope the pump technology. I'm going to have another talk with my diabetes team and see what they think.
