Out shopping today and spotted Tomberries, never heard of them before, but as I like the smaller toms like cherry I thought I would give the a go. I had just a small handful 20g tonight which came to a massive 4 calories and 1g of carbs and they are delicious. Even my youngest has munched her way through half a punnet.

Has anyone else heard of or tried tomberries? Now you have to bare in mind us lot up the norf 'ave just got 'lectric, and the flat capped men have just stopped taking the whippet to the pub, then gone home to beat up the wife. So you more sophisticated southerners may have heard/seen these before. I love 'em.

I live up North too but never seen a Tomberry in my life. What are they? A tomato crossed with a berry or summat? Are they sweet or salad stuff? And where did you get them? I'm loving this forum today.

I tried some of these ini tomatoes and although they look nice on the plate, the flavour wasn't as good as a good variety of cherry toms. Not bad, just not brilliant!

They sound like the ones I've grown in my greenhouse, cherry tomatoes that haven't made it to full size but are ripening anyway. Teeny tiny tasty they are.

Yes, Dawn they are tiny, tiny little tomato's. They are perhaps just very slightly bigger than redcurrents, and sweet. I wonder why yours were not as tasty as cherry toms Hana, the ones I have are really nice.

Grace, I got mine in Sainsbury's. I don't usually go around the produce department as I get my fruit and veg either from the organic farm or my local greengrocer. I only went yesterday as I wanted rhubarb, my green grocer had none, the farm has none and guess what? Sainsbury's had none!

You have just destroyed a mental picture I've kept safely filed away for years .. now I'm completely disillusioned >> ..

Oops sorry Hobs
