Too low on diet

Nothing resembles what we see today. True but back then you ate loads of apples at once and now you eat one. All sorts of historical evidence can track man's development of any sort of produce or game to decrease our need to expend energy requiring it.

You may be able to live on 10g of carbs a day or less. I cannot. Many people cannot. There is no need to call that a fallacy.

You could though.. you may chose not too.. that is something else.
The food group of carbohydrates is not essential for life - fat and protein are.

If you could come and work me and my pump like a puppet and find a way where I take in no carbs and stay safe I would applaud you. You are policing other people's diabetes and disabilities. Not cool

err no... like everyone else here I am sharing my opinion garnered from the research I have done. From my research I believe that there are no essential carbohydrates so I eat as few as I can. I have not said that you should do the same. You would have to take your own circumstances into consideration and adjust your insulin levels to your carb intake presumably like every other low carb type 1. I am policing nothing and certainly not you.

'you could though...you may chose not to'. implies what I can or cannot do with my own diet. Add that to your previous comments and the tone you give them in and yes, it comes across as policing whether you intend it to or not.

@endocrinegremlin and @bulkbiker - If you wish to continue your personal debate, could you please take it to PM. Materially, yours is the only activity on this thread for the last almost 3 weeks. I believe the OP has moved onto a phase of testing where she may gain a more full insight to how her body reacts to any given way of eating.

Thank you.

Someone else responded a day before us? But only two of us are being mentioned? Ridiculous. Also, if threads are to be closed as soon as the person feels they have answers then allow the person to do so. Personally I've learned more on threads rambling longer than the OP intended. Furthermore, issues between type one/two/lada ect are still there and I don't think shunting us away to PMs is going to help anyone. Maybe more recognition that while we have a lot in common we have a whole lot more between us would be more helpful. A type 2 cannot and should not try tell a type 1 what is or is not for their own diet. Not allowing us to hash out these differences merely widens the gap. We can be on the same side but two sides can still stand on other sides of the **** field.

Sorry but you did post that on its own it is not good for you, which is unsubstantiated.

Anecdotal perhaps but my 50% reduction in HBA1C and 40kg weight loss and numerous other health indicators disagree with you.

Furthermore with numerous other people reporting success it is getting to a level that cannot simply written off as anecdotal.

What. No ...really what?

Are you talking about milk? What?

And you are a type two. I am not. We are two very VERY different people with two very different diseases.

Also that last quote I already addressed.

Not sure mods want us here though as far as I know my PMs are open if you really want to debate.
