If you are taking any glucose reducing medication, you will need to be careful about cutting down on carbohydrates, and may need to consult your GP or diabetes team about changes in diet,
For me "keto" is in it's simplest form is just a lower carb version of the LCHF style of eating, it's not a magic weight loss diet as such. "Keto" is just a trendy name for ketogenic, and means that you are eating few enough carbs to start creating and eventually using ketones and burning body fat in preference to using carbs for your energy source.. This is perfectly natural and normal so you can't get too used to it. But neither are specifically a weight loss diet - you can and do lose weight on both, and if you stop losing weight you may need to cut down slightly on the fats (as well as the carbs) you consume to ensure your body resorts to using stored fat to make up for the incoming "fuel" deficit.
