Hi, I have seen talk of total and nett carbs, my understanding is that nett carbs is with fibre total subtracted. (Me thinks). So when counting my daily carb total is it total or nett? Thank you
Your name suggests you're in the uk? In the uk the calculation is already done for us on food labels , so it's total carbs. In the US food labelling is done differently and they need to deduct fibre.
Yes, always look for Total Carbs and use that. The fibre has already been deducted for us. In the US the fibre is included in the total carbs so needs to be deducted to produce Nett Carbs.
