Toujeo?

Hi All,

Just a quick question. I'm thinking of asking a try at Toujeo (the new version of Glargine: http://www.ukmi.nhs.uk/applications/ndo/record_view_open.asp?newDrugID=6085).

Just windered if anyone had tried it yet? I'm hoping that they'll let me give it a go as the cost is about the same as Lantus apparently!

Not seen anyone mention it if they do, if the price is similar to lantus then there shouldn't be a problem getting moved over, one of the stumbling blocks of getting the basal insulin Tresiba is the cost of the drug.........hence why Dr's are reluctant to prescribe it.

Yeah I've asked for that one before, apparently it's "not available" through our PCT. I read somewhere that sanofi want to encourage people to move over so fingers crossed!
