Tragic accident

Hi all

A tragic car accident occurred a month ago here in Victoria. A driver has now been charged as he failed to acknowledge his monitor alerts. He had diabetic shock and drove into a beer garden killing 5 and injuring others. The collision can be attributed to a failure to treat his blood glucose levels.
He now faces potential jail time.

I am only summarising the news article as it will be going before the courts.

It is so sad.
 
What a horrible accident.
From the article, it's completely unclear what caused the driver, who had previously good hypo awareness, to ignore his alarms.
Something more may be going on here, and whatever it is, it's a disaster for all involved.
