Travel Insurance when already left UK

I have a dilemma. My daughter is currently in Brazil on her gap year. She started travelling in October with full cover for pre existing medical conditions on her Dad's annual family policy. He believed that she was covered for the entire trip (until end June). It turns out that he made a mistake and she was only covered for 90 days which has just run out. Very few companies will cover travellers aftre they leave the UK, but World Nomad and Globelink do. However, neither of them will cover pre exisiting medical conditions in this situation. I feel very concerned that my daughter may have no diabetes cover (she is also distressed) for the next 5 months. Does anyone know of any companies that would take these exceptional circumstances into account? Thanks for any responses.

You could try ringing Diabetes U.K. as they seem to have advice on every subject for diabetics.
