Can anyone recommend a good travel insurance to cover diabetes and other pre-existing medical conditions? I have just phoned Staysure (which I used last year) and they have come back with a price of £109 which I think is a bit expensive. Any other companies? thanks

Is that £109 for Annual Worldwide travel insurance? I used Insureandgo last year, and I think it was £149 for Annual Woldwide insurance, excluding USA and Canada. I will only get 2 weeks insurance for my holiday in January.

How many of these companies will insure at all after 80 years of age?

No, this was for a single trip so I will shop around and will look up Insureandgo

@carina62 you can get a quote online. I notified them I had been diagnosed as Type 2 diabetic, but they didn't charge me any more.

I have a Lloyds bank account with benefits. Mine is the Gold one no longer available but they still do the Silver and Platinum. Diabetes is on the list of 'No-screen' conditions so you don't need to declare it unless you have other 'screen' conditions. It works out much cheaper than having separate Travel Insurance.
