Travel/time zones affecting readings

We are regular travellers to and from USA. We travelled back at the weekend (for the first time since we have been 'metering') and hubby's readings for the first couple of days were constantly 1 or 2 higher than we would have expected. After a very LC dinner last night he still came back at 8.3! (6.2 before). This morning it has dropped back to 5.3 so more normal.

Has anyone ever heard of flights and or different time zones, 6 hours difference so different eating pattern etc, making a difference.

Thanks
