I am newly diagnosed lada and using insulatard and apidra injections.
I am traveling to Australia on Wednesday (my first trip abroad since diagnosis)
I think I am pretty ready and organised with my diabetes with new boxes of needles etc packed in hand luggage and a spare metre.
I understand Australia are very strict on taking in any food. Does anyone have any experience of this and if rules more relaxed if you are diabetic. Any tips welcome, have to admit feeling a bit anxious about it all

Declare any food on the Border Control cards you will be given on the aircraft.

Failure to declare food / food stuffs carries large penalties in Australia
