Hi I’m going to Australia I take lantus in the morning with the time difference any idea when I should take it and should I still take the same amount thanks

Hi @martin1111 When I went to Oz, many years ago, I used to take my Long lasting insulin (can't remember what it was!) around 10pm. I took it at 10am when there. Time difference was 12 hours, so just took it in the morning instead!

But if the travel to / from the UK crosses DLS? It certainly does as there is the time now, then end of DLS here and start of DLS in the UK. It changes up to SIX times a year between UK / AUS based upon state.

It is a "more or less" and wouldnt need any adjustment really for your basal jab

I agree. I don't take mine at exactly the same time each evening, it depends on whether I am working but it's usually between a 1 to 3 hours time period.
