Ive been on a low carb diet for 75 days, and lost 2 1/2 stone. When I started I said I wasn't going to touch chocolate till my goal was reached ( which was to get to 16 stone) so today I have treated myself to TWO Mars Bars. Lord, they were good!! Now it's time to go into a bad mood because I've eaten 4 days worth of carbs in one day. They were worth it though, roll on September when I hope to get my next goal reached
 
Well done you for reaching your goal. It is tempting, isn't it to reward ourselves for success. Did you test 2 hours after eating them to see the effect on your BG level? That might help tone down the celebration at the next goal. I managed to wean myself off chocolate after a long fight and now restrict myself to one square of 85% cocoa dark chocolate when I think I deserve a reward. After a while it tastes just as good and I look forward to my "little treats".
 
After 2 Mars bars my sugar was 7.6. Since I've lost weight my sugars are well under control and now it's 4.6.
 
Good one. You don't need to go into a bad mood for the weekend. A well deserved treat and good readings. Result.
 
Well done and well deserved. I did something similar although my treat was a Sausage Bacon and Egg sandwich with real bread. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing you have your next Mars Bar hit (I mean hitting your next goal)
