Tresiba insolin injection

Have just started Tresiba and finding it difficult to adjust amount. Have been on Gliclazide for 15 years but have had to go insulin ‘cos am on max dose gliclazide which is struggling to provide the correct glucose level. Does anyone find Tresiba difficult to adjust. I’m using 8 units but still getting glucose readings of up to 19mml
 
When we start on insulin it is common to start on small doses to slowly bring our levels down and to minimise the risk of hypos.
Being a very long acting insulin (it lasts 3 to 4 days), changes can take some time to have an effect.
For the first 3 or 4 days, we are waiting for the cumulative affect to build up and then we have to be patient when we make a change: it is not instant.

I’m now up to 13 units and still g levels are high 11 to 23 starting on 14 units today to see if Tresiba is working.
Results were better with previous medications gliclazide. Still on 2grams Metformin.
