Hi all

I’ve just been swapped to Tresiba from Lantus and I love it. My control is so so much better. However, 1 day after starting it (6th October) my mouth felt so sore - almost like I’d burnt it with hot food. The tip of my tongue was sore too and I have a very dry mouth. My GP gave me antibiotics and various mouth treatments that’s haven’t worked. Could this be anything to do with Tresiba? I can’t find anything specific online so thought I’d ask you, the experts. Thank you for any advice.

Haven’t heard of those sort of issues. Does it say anything on the sheet given in the insulin pack?
Also, have you had your mouth checked for Lichus Planus. An autoimmune condition that I got just prior to diabetes diagnosis. Dr kept trying all sorts but the dentist and ultimately the dental hospital diagnosed correctly. If you cannot get anywhere, worth a check.

Thank you. I’m off to the dentist in an hour because I’m so fed up with this. I’ll mention it to them.
