Hope thats the right spelling !

During a visit to the Diabetic Nurse, she mentioned my Triglyceride levels were very high ( My Triglyceride levels are 8.0 ) but made no mention of medication. Are people with very high TG levels usually put on medication?
Thanks

Usually the doctor prescribes statins for high cholesterol. Did the nurse say to see doctor ?

That is a bit high, SweetEnough. 0.8-2.1 is thought to be the safest range.
Statins won't do anything to lower triglycerides however, their only impact is on LDL levels.
The biggest influences on triglyceride levels are carbohydrate intake and alcohol.

All the best,

fergus
