Thank you all so much for the help...and a belated happy new year to you all.

I have been making steady progress..slow...but going in right direction.
Have put some fruit back in diet (and I so missed it!!)...lack of it was causing other problems. So being restrained...and still getting steady results...hovering on the 8.3 - 8.6.

However, have had what I can only decribe as episodes of being "out of it", clammy, dizzy, but not at all hungry. Always eat breakfast. Had to sit down, have a drink. ..and was ok ish in about 20 mins. Blood pressure is steady...just a little too high, but steady, and a vast improvement on 12 months ago. Am still drinking a lot of water, & very dilute no sugar squash. Not sleeping well. Tired to bones all the time. Still on 500mg metformin, taken with evening meal. Visit the pool 3 or 4 times a week...but cant do anything like as much as i was doing. Working like crazy again.

Not seeing GP for a review until end of the month.

Any ideas, please??

Sounds like hypo. You can get hyposymptoms, even if BG isn't actually low if you experience a "drop" from high to normal.
