TrueResult Test Strips scarcity?

My local Pharmacy tells me that they are struggling to obtain any more TrueResult Test Strips. I put in a prescription 8 days ago which was part-filled but they still haven't been able to complete the remainder. Their supplier says there is a 'manufacturing problem' and they can't give a date when they'll be back in stock.

This sounds pretty whacky to me. Has anyone else had any problems or heard any news about this? Google can't find any information for me.

If you look online all the well known chemists are selling them and Amazon.
Ask your pharmacy to ring round other pharmacies or go back to your G.P. and explain the problem.
I don't know if you can take the prescription and ask around or if the pharmacy you first go to is obliged to fulfil the whole prescription?

I've not heard this particular type being mentioned on the forum but a member might answer.

In short, you need the TRUEtest strips for your meter.

You can find them at Walgreens, on Amazon, and numerous other websites and drug stores.

I contacted Nipro (the manufacturers) who say - quote:-
"There is no manufacturing problem and they are fully available"
which makes me wonder what is going off. It is two weeks now that my prescription has remained unfilled. My Pharmacy? Their supplier? Someone is surely not doing their job.
