Hi Y'all, I have been on Trulicity for 6 weeks, I'm coping quite well with the nausea etc. however, when monitoring my blood sugar levels, I'm finding I CANNOT reduce my Blood sugars to below 13.0...Today, I have ate an apple and a low calorie, low fat yogurt and my bloods sugars are still 20.9, I have just taken my bloods... When I took them this morning, my blood reading was 16.5. I phoned my Diabetic Nurse on Friday and explained that on Thursday night, 2 hours after eating steamed fish and vegetables my bloods were 28.9 and all she said was " don't worry about the numbers...it will even itself out over time...is this normal for my blood sugars to be so high...I have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning about this, I just wondered what other people thought…

How long have you been diabetic?
Is this your first medication or have you previously been on something else?
What were your glucose levels before starting on Trulicity?

when I was first DX I was at around 25; (type 1) and whilst in hospital strapped to a bed, this dropped to about 15 on average once I got home and started some movement (well limited exercise) I found it dropped like a stone in other words I was using up the sugar! Since returning to work I have actually had to increase my carb intake to balance my numbers!
Whilst we are all different using up the sugar via exercise or jusr general get up and go seems to make some perfect sense to me!

Hi,
A very good post. I have started using Trulicity 1.5mg for a week and have already noticed I’m not as hungry as normal. I too have nausea feelings but my blood sugars do seem to be lowering. Last night I was down to 8.9 before bed.

I am currently taking for my Type 2 diabetes:
2 x 1000mg Glucophage SR
1 x 5mg Saxagliptin
1 x 20mg Atorvastatin

I was informed Trulicity will also reduce my weight and curious to know if anyone else has lost weight and if so, approximate how much each week.
