Trulicity

Hi, I'm already on Metformin and have just been put on Trulicity but I'm extremely anxious of the serious "boxed" side effect of thyroid cancer, it's actually making me not want to use it!! Does anyone know the percentage of risk??
Is there an alternative medication with less severe side effects ? Your thoughts and advice would be extremely welcomed. Thank you

It's worth noting that the thyroid cancer has been shown in rats not humans. This link states there's no data on humans.
