don´t know but as I am informed the stevia-plant is the best for diabetics, one can use the green powder meant for face-masks if one does not want the rafined kind... or have some plants at home, maybe most easy to grow in the summertime as it is a jungleplant... but some then just nip some leaves and squeeze them in their tea or dry the leaves and make them into powder
I recently discovered that there are two types of stevia extract, one of which has the icky after taste and the other (more expensive!!) one, known as Rebaudioside A or Reb A, doesn't. (See: http://www.everstevia.com/stevia-rebaudiana-a.html).
Both stevia and erythritol are considered best for diabetics as neither raise glucose levels (and both have the bonus of having no side affects and being zero calorie!). You may need to check actual ingredients in any stevia type product, because due to its extreme sweetness it needs to be combined with other ingredients/fillers which may be not be kind to our glucose levels.

PS Something else to be aware of is that stevia and erythritol actually contain a high percentage of carbs, but these are not processed by our bodies so have no impact on our glucose levels.
